You have probably heard it before.. Exercise is good for you and also for your sex life.
And it’s true. People that exercise (are physically active) tend to have both more sex and better sex, than people that don’t.
Exercise is positive for you in so many ways, ranging from increasing your mood, shedding excess weight, restoring your hormonal balance, and to giving your more energy.
A 2019 study found that men and women above the age of 50 who did moderate physical exercise once a week, had more sex than inactive people. And exercise more often than once a week was correlated with even more sex.
A 2020 study on adults (average age = 38) also found that more physical activity was associated with more sexual activity in both men and women.
Research has also found that obese men generally find sexual activity difficult.
Other research has found that improved cardiovascular health is linked to improved arousal levels, in both men and women, but even more in women than men.
And not only is exercise good for sex, but sex is good for you.
Several studies have demonstrated that with good sex, you feel better, happier, more positive, and that you are potentially even better apt at learning and processing information.
And sex has also been show to make you live longer.
