Moringa Oleifera is a tree that is native to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It is also known as ‘drumstick tree’ or ‘horseradish tree’.
It has been used as an herbal remedy to treat various ailments, for thousands of years. And it is still widely used today.
The tree is claimed to have antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic and antimicrobial properties.
However, many of the scientific tests that have been done on Moringa, although with promising results, have been performed on animals or in petri dishes, not yet on people.
That said, there are indications that this tree can have impressive effects. Here are 4 of them:
Moringa may improve prostate health.
Studies indicate that Moringa may inhibit prostate cancer cell growth, and also that it may help prevent the condition called prostate hyperplasia.
Moringa may help you overcome erectile dysfunction.
Studies on rats have indicated that Moringa may improve production of nitric oxide, and that it may also help the smooth muscles in the penis relax. Both of these effects would increase bloodflow to your penis and make it easier to get erections.
Moringa may improve fertility.
Research studies performed on rats and rabbits have demonstrated that the antioxidants of Moringa helped increase sperm volume, sperm count and sperm motility.
Moringa may also help normalize blood sugar levels.
Research shows that Moringa may help increase insulin production, which again enables cells to absorb glucose and use it as energy.
Moringa is typically sold in powder form (that you would mix with foods or drinks), or in capsules.
Reports have also suggested that the supplement is safe to take.
