A new study by The Journal Of Sexual Medicine proves what we already knew: That a unhealthy lifestyle causes erectile dysfunction.
This study looked at 89 previous studies to assess whether health-related lifestyle factors such as cigarette smoking, alcohol intake, physical activity, diet, caffeine, and cannabis use had an impact on sexual dysfunction.
The conclusion was that there was a dose-dependent relationship between cigarette smoking (past and current), alcohol intake, and physical activity,
Risk of erectile dysfunction increased with greater cigarette smoking, decreased with greater physical activity and decreased with a healthy diet.
Interestingly, moderate alcohol intake was associated with a lower risk of erectile dysfunction.
Therefore, in order to combat erectile dysfunction, having a healthy lifestyle is critical.
