Lack Of Sleep Can Reduce Your Libido

We already knew that lack of sleep can cause erectile dysfunction. This is largely because we produce testosterone when we sleep, and if we don’t sleep enough, we simply don’t produce adequate testosterone.

And with inadequate testosterone levels, it is very difficult to function well sexually.
 
Now a new research study has also demonstrated that lack of sleep is also likely to reduce a man’s libido.
 
This research investigated 436 men who suffered from obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. The average age of the men was 42.8 years.
 
The study found that 23% of these men reported having a low libido.
 
The men with low libido were also older than the other men in the study, had more nocturia (had to urinate more often at night), and were more depressed and anxious than the other men.
 
We have now gotten another piece of evidence that sleep is incredibly important for our health.
