Research has found that men with high levels of testosterone are more likely to cheat.
Meaning, those men with more of the testosterone hormone are generally less faithful to their partners.
This was the conclusion of a research study performed at the Zurich University.
The study was performed on 224 healthy middle-aged men who had all been in relationships for at least 20 years.
More than one third of the men in the study said they had cheated on their partner at least once. The majority of these respondents had higher testosterone levels than average.
Based on this, the researchers claimed to find a robust relationship between levels of testosterone and infidelity.
Why do men with more testosterone cheat more?
There are probably two main reasons:
1) Men with more testosterone normally have a higher sex drive and want more sex.
2) Men with more testosterone are also perceived as more attractive by females.
