Several Viagra Prescriptions = Bad Health

Health
Men who have already had several prescriptions for Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs, are likely to have bad health.

Not because of the prescriptions themselves, but because what this indicates about the health of the man.

Because the larger the number of these prescriptions (and also the more severe ED), the greated the likelihood that the man has a score larger than 1 on what is called the Charlson Comorbidity Index

This index predicts the one-year mortality for a patient who may have a range of comorbid conditions.

Meaning: Men with ED are more likely to have more than one of these comorbid conditions (heart problems, diabetes, etc.) and are therefore likely to have a relatively poor health.

This is not unexpected. However, it should serve as a call for men with ED to 1) check their health, and 2) if health is poor, motivate these men to improve their health.
