A research study published in the Asian Journal of Andrology, reported that 32% of men suffering from psychological erectile dysfunction (ED caused by psychological factors), overcame this ED simply by realizing what was going on.
By simply realizing that it was psychological factors that were causing the ED (by getting the diagnosis), the ED in 32% of the cases went away.
It should also be mentioned that those men who recovered from ED after the diagnosis, also tended to have a healthy attitude towards the diagnosis, and also tended to have understanding partners.
It is estimated that as many as 20% of all cases of erectile dysfunction may be caused by psychological factors. Imagine if 32% of 20% of all men with ED could recover by simply understand what is happening in their minds?
Examples of psychological ED are: Stress, anxiety, fear, depression, guilt, low self-esteem, etc.
