Week 10-12

During the tenth to the twelfth week I would do the following:

  • Continue the actions from earlier weeks (except for abstaining from sex)
  • Try to have sex once a week, but not to the point of orgasm
  • 45-60 minutes before having sex, take the same supplements as in week 9, except that I would rotate the 4 supplements tongkat alitribulus terrestrisfenugreek and horny goat weed
  • Reduce the dosage of the supplements to what it was in week 8

As for the other sections, if I were to encounter erectile dysfunction and libido problems for the first time, I would also during these weeks continue the actions I would have taken on from the earlier weeks, except for abstaining from sex.

Last week, I would have tried to have sex again with the help of four different supplements. I would have taken l-arginine + pine bark + ZMA + one of either tongkat alitribulus terrestrisfenugreek or horny goat weed.

If I was able to have successful and satisfactory sex last week, I might have already partially or fully overcome my sexual problems. However, if sex was not fully satisfactory or if I wanted to continue the step-by-step plan, I would again in this week try to have sex, but again only once.

This time, I would again take  l-arginine + pine bark + ZMA, but I would change one of the herbal supplements. So if I took tongkat ali last week, I would try either tribulus terrestrisfenugreek or horny goat weed this week. I would also go back to the dosage I took in week 8. The reason for rotating the herbal supplements, is that one of them may be more efficient at dealing with my issues than the other ones. It is possible, that one of these supplements could help me overcome my sexual problems.

I would again try to ensure that I was only using a very high quality and high potency version of either tongkat alitribulus terrestrisfenugreek or horny goat weed. In my experience, these supplements are normally not available in high quality and high potency forms from normal supplement or nutrition stores. Often, the supplements one finds in these regular stores tend to be very weak or ineffective as they contain only small amounts of the active ingredients. I would therefore try to get these supplements directly from the manufacturers, or from a reputable wholesaler.

l-arginine + pine bark will normally help increase nitric oxide production, and ZMA will typically increase production of testosteronedopamine as well as nitric oxide. These effects will normally both increase sex drive as well as making it easier for a man to get and keep an erection. I would take approximately 750 mg of a pine bark supplement that contains at least 50% procyanidin, in capsule form. I would take a half-topped table-spoon of l-arginine in powder form, or about 7 grams, and I would take approximately 500 mg of ZMA, in capsule form.

Tongkat ali has been reported to increase testosterone levels and to decrease levels of free calcium. Less free calcium means less contraction of the smooth muscles in the penis, and this means blood is allowed to enter the penis. The effects of tongkat ali should typically be an improved sex drive as well as making it easier to get and keep an erection. Tribulus terrestris is reported to both increase testosterone levels as well as making the body’s manufacturing process of nitric oxide more efficient. Higher levels of testosterone and nitric oxide should normally strengthen a man’s sex drive and also make it easier for him to get and maintain erections. Fenugreek is reported to both work similarly to and have similar effects to those of tribulus terrestris (which means an increase in testosterone levels as well as making the body’s manufacturing process of nitric oxide more efficient). These effects should normally strengthen a man’s sex drive and also make it easier for him to obtain and maintain erections throughout sexual stimulation. Horny goat weed, similar to pharmaceutical drugs like Viagra (although less potent), is a PDE5 inhibitorPDE5 is an enzyme that enables free calcium levels in the smooth muscles of the penis to increase. When these free calcium levels are high, the smooth muscles in the penis will contract and the penis will be flaccid. This is the normal state. When PDE5 is inhibited, free calcium levels are reduced, which will normally allow for blood to flow into the penis and for an erection to form. Horny goat weed is also reported to make the production of nitric oxide more efficient and to increase testosterone levels. These effects will normally increase a man’s sex drive as well as make it easier for him to get and maintain an erection. Similarly to the preceding weeks, I would also this week have preferred to be with a very understanding and patient partner, and for us to work together towards overcoming the erectile dysfunction and libido problems.

I would also this week be very straight-to-the-point about the sex. I would not engage in much foreplay – just enough to get an erection, and then proceed to intercourse in my favorite position. And also, if it was safe, I would not wear a condom in order to maximize the pleasurable sensations from sex.

If possible, I would also this week try to not get to the point of an orgasm. By abstaining from having an orgasm, I could continue to build my libido instead of reducing it. To learn more about my experience with orgasm and ejaculation on Truelibido, please go here.

I would by now be 3-4 months into the program. My body might by now have been re-balanced enough to be ready for sex. If by now I was able to have sex successfully, I could stop further advances into the program, and rather just maintain the actions I had learned during these weeks. If I continued the principles from the preceding weeks and up to this point, this might be enough for me to overcome my sexual problems.

If I had now solved my erectile dysfunction and libido problems, it is very likely that these problems were directly caused by one or more of the following: excessive sexual stimulation, nutritional deficiency, smoking / drinking / drug abuse, inadequate exercise, weak pelvic floor muscles, stress, bad sleep or inadequate sun exposure. The sexual dysfunction I experienced could also potentially be the result of an unknown imbalance in my body that was restored by the adaptogenic herb, or possibly inadequate production of nitric oxidetestosterone or dopamine.

If sex was now finally successful, I could then adjust how often I would have sex based on how strong my libido would be. I would also allow myself to have orgasms periodically, but ideally only every 4-6 weeks.

Even if I were able to have successful sex after these eight weeks, there would be nothing stopping me from continuing the program, if I wanted to. If I thought I could achieve further progress by following the step-by-step plan, for instance to get rock-hard erections during sex and have a stronger libido, I could of course do that.


At the same time, if sex was successful and I wanted to try to find the one cause, or one main cause (if there was only one) of my problems, I could reverse the program. I could then try to remove the stress changes I took on from week 4 for instance, and see if after this I was still able to function sexually. If I were, then the stress part was probably not responsible for my problems.

If I were not able to have fully satisfying sex this time, but I felt some improvements, I would believe and hope that I was on the right track, but that I also needed more time to fully re-balance my body.

If there was no progress at all, I would stay with the program and be patient. I would know that there were more adjustments to be made that could help me. I would be mindful about the fact that continuing to restore my body might eventually lead to the effects I wanted. If my erectile dysfunction and libido problems were severe and if I had done a lot of damage to my body, it may very well take several months of re-calibration to bring it back into balance.
